It's only up to Part Six, but maybe you've heard of it. Captain Lanie Romein, A.K.A. The Ice Queen, the free to read story of a young girl who is visited by an alien from another planet. She expects him to return, but he doesn't. Lanie always had an interest in space, and this sealed it. She spend years preparing and learning to be the best Star Ship Captain ever. There had never been a female captain but that didn't stop her. As she nears her goal, things didn't turn out the way she wanted them to. The story follows her as she tackles all obstacles life throws at her. Lanie has many adventures ahead of her, and many worlds to explore in her search for her lover from outer space. Think Romeo and Juliet meet Jabba the Hut.
This will eventually turn into a novel. It will be posted in it's entirety on my blog, but once completed I will pull it and put it up for sale on Amazon. I'm 16k (word count) into it now and haven't even scratched the surface. I may have to make two books out of it. We'll see. The story is incredibly fun to write and sometimes I am surprised what happens. My muse is keeping a huge secret from me, I know it! There may be punctuation, or other errors that pop up as I am intending on editing it or having it edited before I sell it. If you should catch an error, I would be forever in your debt if you would email me and let me know what it is. I won't be offended.
There are a few other serialized stories scattered around the net and I suggest you look them up. My friend Al Place has one on his blog called The Word, about Game Lords in war with the written word. http://hereiamattheedge.blogspot.co.uk/p/the-word.html#.UIpzj8XA-So
Anybody else who has one, feel free to leave the link in comments.
I hope you enjoy reading this story as much as I enjoy writing it!
